SynaPost brings these steps together in WordPress, helping you move from content ideas to published articles through a structured, repeatable workflow.
Built for business sites, blogs, publications, and WordPress agencies.

Plan Research Create Optimize Approve Publish Grow
From topic idea to published post, inside WordPress.
Plan
- Business Setup – a profile of your business, audience, and brand voice that every article stays consistent with.
- AI Strategy Planner – a full 7/30/90/365-day content plan built around topic clusters that match your site’s existing categories.
- Topic Library, Pipeline & Published Content – a browsable idea catalog, an active workflow queue, and a view of everything that’s gone live. Bulk-import topics via CSV, TXT, or XLSX.
- Editorial Calendar – Month and Week views with drag-and-drop rescheduling.
Write
- AI Writer – generate structured drafts with OpenRouter’s free models (one key, no credit card) or OpenAI. A guided setup walks you to a free OpenRouter key, shows which free models are available, and recommends one. Paste your key, test it, done in about a minute. Every draft gets a self-critique editing pass and a minimum readability check.
- Format-aware structure – How-To Guides, Comparisons, Case Studies, News, Tutorials, and Listicles each follow a structure that suits the format.
- Placeholder Thumbnail – a featured image for every article. Choose from 4 free placeholder styles, match your brand colors, and preview before you commit.
- Internal linking and tagging – new articles link to your existing published content where it fits, using only real URLs, and get 2-5 relevant tags automatically.
- CTA Engine and product featuring – a styled call-to-action box (or any shortcode) on every article, plus optional natural mentions of your own products or services where they genuinely fit.
Optimize
- SEO Assistant – fills in Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO with a focus keyword, meta title and description, and a readability-based SEO score.
Approve & Publish
- Approval Workflow – approve, edit, regenerate, or cancel an article from your phone via Telegram (no WordPress login needed), or use the in-dashboard Approval Center. You choose between auto-publishing and requiring approval.
- Daily Automation – automatically process due topics from your queue on a daily schedule, reducing the manual work involved in keeping your publishing pipeline moving.
Stay in control
- Dashboard – a guided setup checklist that hides itself once complete, a “Today” widget, and basic content stats.
- Integrations page – see what’s connected across every provider, channel, and automation setting. Pro-only integrations are shown and clearly marked.
Smaller details that matter
Articles only use your existing categories. No topic is generated twice. Spelling and idiom follow your country, with guardrails against common AI-writing cliches. Article length is configurable.
Bring your own key. SynaPost has no credits and no usage limits. Whatever your provider charges is between you and them (OpenRouter’s free models cost nothing).
Upgrade to Pro
SynaPost Pro adds:
- OpenRouter’s paid models and more AI providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, self-hosted Ollama)
- Multiple business profiles for agencies
- Deep Research and real AI-generated thumbnails
- Content Repurposer and Content Snippets (FAQ, product review, and product description copy)
- Slack and Email approval channels
- Full analytics, content gap suggestions, and a content refresh workflow
See the “Upgrade to Pro” page inside the plugin, or visit synapost.ufirstdev.com for the full list.
External Services
SynaPost connects to the following external services. All are entirely optional – the plugin is fully usable without any one of them, and no data ever leaves your site unless you’ve deliberately connected your own account.
OpenRouter
What it does: Powers the AI Writer, Strategy Planner, and the SEO/quality-review passes SynaPost runs on its own output – the same role OpenAI plays below. This is the provider a fresh install’s Business Setup guides you to connect first, since OpenRouter’s free models need no credit card and one key gives you a choice of several.
Why SynaPost uses it: This is the actual content-generation engine behind article writing, topic planning, and self-review – there’s no local/offline model that could do this instead.
What data is sent: Your business profile context (business name, industry, target audience, website, main competitors, target countries, brand voice guidelines, preferred output language, content goals, preferred tone, and words to avoid – no personal data such as names, emails, or phone numbers is included in this context) plus the specific topic, title, or draft content currently being generated or reviewed. Separately, the connect flow’s model picker also makes a keyless request to OpenRouter’s public model list to show which free models are currently available – that request carries no business or profile data at all, just a plain listing request.
When it’s sent: The chat-completion request is sent either immediately when you click “Generate” or “Regenerate” in wp-admin, or automatically by the daily WP-Cron automation run if you’ve enabled it. The model-list request is sent when the connect flow’s picker loads or is refreshed.
Where it’s sent: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions for generation, https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/models for the free-model list.
Configuration required: Yes, for generation – your own OpenRouter API key, entered under Settings AI Providers (or the fast-connect flow on Business Setup). Without a key configured, no generation request is sent, and SynaPost tells you plainly that no AI provider is connected yet rather than generating anything. The model-list request needs no key and is sent regardless, purely to populate the picker.

OpenAI
What it does: Powers the AI Writer, Strategy Planner, and the SEO/quality-review passes SynaPost runs on its own output – an alternative to OpenRouter above, if you’d rather use OpenAI. In SynaPost Pro specifically (not part of this free plugin’s own code), the same connection also powers Real AI Thumbnails, an image-generation feature.
When it’s sent: Either immediately when you click “Generate” or “Regenerate” in wp-admin, or automatically by the daily WP-Cron automation run if you’ve enabled it.
Where it’s sent: https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions for all text generation, and (SynaPost Pro only) https://api.openai.com/v1/images/generations for AI-generated thumbnails.
Configuration required: Yes – your own OpenAI API key, entered under Settings AI & Images. Without a key configured, no network request is made to OpenAI at all.

Telegram Bot API
What it does: Powers the optional Telegram approval workflow – approve, edit, regenerate, or cancel a generated article from your phone, without logging into WordPress.
Why SynaPost uses it: Telegram’s Bot API is the mechanism that lets SynaPost send you a message and receive your button tap back, which is what the approval workflow is built on.
What data is sent: The generated article’s title, category, content type, SEO score, estimated read time, scheduled publish date, and full content (sent as one or more messages), a link to its generated thumbnail image, and whichever approval button you tap in response.
When it’s sent: Automatically the moment an article finishes generation and enters the approval queue, and again each time you tap an approval button (received back via a webhook).
Where it’s sent: https://api.telegram.org
Configuration required: Yes – your own Telegram bot token and chat ID, entered under Settings Approvals. Without these configured, nothing is sent to Telegram; SynaPost’s in-dashboard Approval Center works as a Telegram-free alternative.

A note on the WordPress AI Client
SynaPost evaluated the WordPress AI Client as a potential replacement for its direct provider integrations. SynaPost’s own multi-provider abstraction (which the free plugin’s OpenRouter and OpenAI support and SynaPost Pro’s additional providers all build on) already provides equivalent text/image generation, provider configuration, and error handling across more providers than the WordPress AI Client currently supports, with a dozen established call sites throughout the codebase already depending on its specific contract. Direct integration was retained rather than migrated; all external API usage it powers is fully disclosed above.
