Good to know

• Edit texts here or in the portal. Under Pages, click the pencil next to a translated page to edit its texts. Changes made in the plugin are live immediately. Changes made in the portal need “Sync now” in the plugin, or the sync icon in the Pages and Posts list.
• Common texts are translated once. Texts that appear on many pages, such as footer, buttons and menus, are translated only once and edited under Common (in the plugin or in the portal). They no longer appear in every page editor.
• Empty fields hide the text. If you empty a text in the portal, it is hidden on the translated page, including the space around it. Add the CSS class quqii-keep-space to an element to keep its space.
• Files per language. Images, videos, PDFs and other files can be replaced or hidden per language. Open the file in the media library and use the field “Version for EN”.
• No chains. A file that is used as a replacement cannot have replacements of its own.
• Clear cache. All pages are marked as outdated and must be translated again. Only new text uses words from your plan; texts translated elsewhere on your site and your manual corrections are kept. Existing translations stay online until then.
• URL structure and navigation. Sync again after you add post types or change menus.
• YouTube and Vimeo videos. Embedded videos are not media library files. Your theme has to handle them per language.

External Services

This plugin connects to the quqii Translator platform (https://translator.quqii.net) to provide AI-powered translation services.

What data is sent:
* The HTML content of pages you choose to translate (pushed from the admin dashboard, never from visitor page loads).
* Your site URL, to scope translations to your specific WordPress installation.
* Navigation menu labels and post-type rewrite slugs, for structural translation.

When data is sent:
* Only when you actively trigger a translation from the WordPress admin (Quqii → Pages or the setup wizard).
* When the platform saves a translation, it calls a REST endpoint on your site to clear the local cache — no page content is involved in that callback.

No visitor data is ever transmitted. Translations are stored locally in your WordPress database and served directly to visitors without any further API calls.
