Mijaz AI Live Chat & Call Assistant
v1.0.0 · by Jetlegz
AI chat and voice-call assistant for WordPress. Answer business questions, capture bookings, and search WooCommerce products when enabled.
About this plugin
Add an AI chat and voice-call assistant to your WordPress website. Mijaz AI can answer visitor questions using your business information, support voice conversations, and collect booking requests for you to confirm. If WooCommerce is active, it can also search your product catalog for prices, descriptions, and stock information. WooCommerce is optional — core chat and voice features work on regular WordPress websites too.
Mijaz AI is designed for business websites, service providers, and online stores that want to answer common questions and help visitors take the next step without requiring a human to respond to every message.
Bring your own AI key
Connect an API key from a supported AI provider. Your site sends requests to the provider you choose; Mijaz AI does not proxy conversations through its own servers or resell AI usage. You remain in control of the provider, model, and provider-side costs.
- No per-message fee for core plugin use. You supply and manage your own provider key; any paid add-on is separate.
- Choose your provider. Supported chat providers include Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral, Anthropic, OpenAI, and compatible custom endpoints.
- Start with a provider’s free tier, where available. Free tiers have their own limits and conditions; paid providers charge according to your account and usage.
- Keep the integration under your control. Conversations are sent to the AI provider you configure, not to Mijaz’s own servers.
Important: AI providers set their own prices, usage limits, data-handling terms, and model availability. Some free-tier providers may use submitted content to improve their services. Review your chosen provider’s terms before processing sensitive customer information.

Privacy
- Sent to your chosen AI provider: chat messages and recent conversation, your business knowledge text, public product information, and — if you enable voice features — reply text (natural voice), short recordings of visitor speech (natural listening) or live call audio (live call). Nothing is sent to Mijaz.
- Stored on your site: conversations from the chat widget are stored in your database (Conversations screen). Live call transcripts are saved only if you switch on “Save call transcripts” (off by default). You can delete conversations and reservation requests (one, several or all) from their admin screens, set an automatic deletion period under Voice & Calls, and use WordPress’s built-in Export / Erase Personal Data tools, which include this plugin’s records matched by email address (conversations that never mention an email can be deleted from the Conversations screen). Suggested privacy-policy text is added under Settings Privacy.
- Browser speech recognition: when natural listening is off, the visitor’s browser (for example Chrome) may send microphone audio to its own vendor’s speech service. This is done by the browser, not by this plugin.
- Live call visitors see a short notice that their voice is processed by an AI service and whether the call may be saved. Mention this in your site’s privacy policy.
- The “Powered by Mijaz AI” credit is off by default and shown only if you tick the option in Settings.
External services
This plugin needs you to connect an AI provider account of your own choosing. It does not work without one. When a visitor sends a chat message, that message, the recent conversation, your configured business knowledge text, and (when relevant) WooCommerce product information your store already shows publicly are sent to the provider you selected, using the API key you entered, to generate the reply. This happens on every chat turn. No data is sent until you enter a key and a visitor starts a conversation, and no data is sent to Mijaz’s own servers.
Providers you can choose from, with their endpoints and legal pages:
- Google Gemini —

https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions— Terms: https://openai.com/policies/row-terms-of-use — Privacy: https://openai.com/policies/row-privacy-policy - Custom endpoint — a server URL you enter yourself (for example a local Ollama server). Its terms are set by whoever runs that server.
Only the provider you select receives data.
Optional voice and live-call services (used only if you switch them on and enter that provider’s key; no data is sent otherwise):
- Natural voice and natural listening — the text of a reply (to speak it) or a short recording of the visitor’s speech (to transcribe it) is sent from your site to the voice provider you choose:
- Google Gemini —
https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/models/— Terms: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms — Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy - ElevenLabs —
https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/— Terms: https://elevenlabs.io/terms-of-use — Privacy: https://elevenlabs.io/privacy-policy - OpenAI —
https://api.openai.com/v1/audio/— Terms: https://openai.com/policies/row-terms-of-use — Privacy: https://openai.com/policies/row-privacy-policy
- Google Gemini —
- Live call — your site asks Google for a short-lived, single-use access token (
https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/auth_tokens) using your Gemini key. The visitor’s browser then streams the call audio directly to Google’s Gemini Live service (wss://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/) using that token; the call audio does not pass through your server and your real key is never given to the browser. Terms and privacy as for Gemini above. On Google’s free tier, Google may use content to improve its products — use a paid key for real customers if that matters to you. - Browser voice (default) — uses the speech recognition and speech synthesis built into the visitor’s own browser. Depending on the browser, recognition may be performed by the browser vendor’s online service (for example Google in Chrome).
