MICROFACTOR AI Visibility
v1.4.10 · by MICROFACTOR
Check whether ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini mention your brand. Connect an account, subscribe, and scan from wp-admin.
About this plugin
MICROFACTOR AI Visibility helps marketers see if AI assistants mention their brand in shopper-style prompts.
ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are trademarks of their respective owners. This plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
Works with Rank Math SEO and Yoast SEO
MICROFACTOR complements classic SEO plugins. It does not replace title tags, meta descriptions, Open Graph, sitemaps, or Schema generated by Rank Math or Yoast. When those plugins are active, MICROFACTOR shows a coexistence notice in wp-admin.
What you can do
- Claim an API key with email only (no password), or paste an existing key to connect
- Save brand name, category, hero products, and competitors
- Subscribe to Starter / Growth / Pro plans
- Run AI visibility scans and view the latest score and scenarios
- Add
[microfactor_geo]to a page to show region-aware content to visitors
External services
This plugin connects to the MICROFACTOR cloud API to:
- Issue or validate an API key and store it on your site (the key is your credential)
- Save brand setup and competitor lists
- Process paid visibility scans via the cloud service (which may call AI providers such as ForAI / OpenAI-compatible APIs)
- Process authenticated GEO lookups for the
[microfactor_geo]visitor experience - Forward the visitor IP to the MICROFACTOR cloud API for location lookup; the cloud service uses ipwho.is for GEO data
- Start Stripe Checkout / Customer Portal for subscriptions (handled by the cloud service, not directly by this plugin)
- Send a periodic install heartbeat (site URL, site name, plugin/WP/PHP versions, and whether Rank Math or Yoast is active) so MICROFACTOR can operate the service
Account email, API key validation, brand data, competitors, scan results, and install heartbeats are sent to the MICROFACTOR cloud when you use those features. Without connecting, the plugin only stores local settings. The Cloud API base URL is hidden from the normal Account UI (developers can reveal it with WP_DEBUG or the metis_ai_show_api_base filter).
Requirements
- A self-hosted WordPress site (or WordPress.com plan that allows custom plugins)
- Outbound HTTPS from your server to the cloud API
- A paid subscription to run scans (account registration itself is free)
