Efbtech Media Replacer
v1.0.0 · by EFB Technology
Easily replace existing images inside your WordPress Media Library by overwriting the file on your disk while keeping same filename and attachment ID.
About this plugin
Efbtech Media Replacer provides a seamless way to replace existing images inside your WordPress Media Library. It adds a “Replace Image” link directly onto the Edit Media screen.
Uploading a new file completely overwrites the targeted old image on your server disk space. This keeps the exact same folder structure, same filename, and matching database attachment ID/URLs across your entire site layout. Your intermediate thumbnail sizes are automatically regenerated following the upload.
