CommuniQate
v1.0.1 · by Niek Poorthuis
Show the CommuniQate WhatsApp widget on your website, so visitors can start a WhatsApp chat with your business from any page.
About this plugin
This is the official CommuniQate plugin. It adds the CommuniQate WhatsApp widget to your WordPress website. Your visitors start a WhatsApp chat with your business from any page of your site, and you answer them in CommuniQate.
To use the plugin you need a CommuniQate account with a website widget. You create the widget and set how it looks in CommuniQate. In WordPress you only enter the Widget ID.
Important: the widget is loaded from CommuniQate, a third-party service. See “External services” below for what this means. By using this plugin, you agree to the CommuniQate Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. These apply to the use of the widget and to any data that is collected while it runs.
For more information, visit the CommuniQate website: https://communiqate.nl.
External services
This plugin connects to CommuniQate, the service that provides the WhatsApp widget. The widget cannot work without it.
- On every page of your site, the browser of your visitor loads the widget script from https://widgets.communiqate.nl/assets/scripts/widget/v1/embed.js and the widget itself from https://widget.communiqate.nl. This sends the Widget ID and the data every browser sends with a request, such as the IP address of the visitor and the address of your site, to CommuniQate.
- When you save the Widget ID, the plugin asks https://widget.communiqate.nl whether a widget with that Widget ID exists. This sends the Widget ID and, as with every request WordPress makes, the address of your site to CommuniQate.
The service is provided by CommuniQate. Terms of Use: https://www.communiqate.nl/legaal/algemene-voorwaarden. Privacy Policy: https://www.communiqate.nl/legaal/privacy-cookies.
