Baza Live Chat
v1.6.1 · by Baza Developers
Live chat for WordPress. Visitors chat on your site, you reply in Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Slack and more. Self-hosted, no monthly fees.
About this plugin
Baza Live Chat puts a live chat on your WordPress site and sends what visitors write to the messenger your team already uses: Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Slack, Discord or Microsoft Teams. You answer there, and your answer appears in the chat. Self-hosted, no monthly chat fees, no data stored on our servers.
Features:
- Live chat widget embedded on your WordPress site
- Operator channels: Telegram, WhatsApp (Cloud API), Messenger, Instagram, Viber, Slack, Discord and Microsoft Teams. Pick one or several in the Channels tab; each one has a test button. Discord only receives, the others can answer back into the chat
- Messenger buttons for visitors: round buttons under the chat that open a conversation with you in WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Signal, LINE or Discord, with one tap (plain links, nothing is sent from your site)
- Your team is linked once by writing “link” and a code to your business account; every incoming request is checked with the service’s own signature
- Forms (all off by default): ask for a name and e-mail before the chat, show a message form instead of the chat while nobody is online, and e-mail a copy of the chat to the visitor and to you (sent with your site’s own mail settings)
- Pictures and PDF files from visitors: a paperclip next to the message box; files are checked by WordPress, stored under a random name in their own uploads folder, your team gets the link, old files are deleted automatically
- Voice messages: a microphone button next to the message box records up to 90 seconds; your team gets the link (and, with Google Gemini, the words) and the visitor sees a player in the chat. Off by default.
- Chat rating: 1-5 stars when a visitor ends a chat that was answered, with the average in the sessions list
- Canned replies: answer from any channel with just /shortcut and the visitor gets the full text
- Real-time polling for instant message delivery and webhooks for instant operator replies
- Sound notifications for new messages
- GDPR consent support
- IP blocking, rate limiting, and a visitor activity log
- Custom colors and avatar for the chat widget
- Auto-questions for quick replies
- Static mode – embed chat inline anywhere
- Built-in protection from bots: only real visitors reach your team
Want more? Baza Live Chat Pro
This free plugin is complete on its own. If you want your chat to do more of the work, the paid versions of Baza Live Chat add:
AI assistant
* Answers visitors with the AI you choose – Google Gemini, OpenAI (GPT) or Anthropic Claude – using your own API key, so you pay the provider directly and nothing passes through our servers.
* Learns from your own site: pick the post types (pages, services, FAQ, products…) it may read and exclude single posts; it sees each page’s address, so it can point visitors to the right page.
* Your tone and rules in a system prompt; hand-over keywords and a “Talk to an operator” button – the chat moves to you the moment the visitor asks for a person, or when the assistant cannot find an answer.
* Interface texts, auto-questions and teaser messages are translated into each visitor’s language automatically.
Booking assistant for Baza Booking Calendar
* Visitors book without leaving the chat: it lists the services you allow, checks the real free slots for the day they ask about, offers extras, asks the questions of your booking form and applies promo codes.
* The price they are quoted is calculated by Baza Booking Calendar itself (taxes, extras, discounts), and a slot is re-checked for clashes right before the booking is written – the AI never invents a time, a price or a booking number.
* Payment in the chat: a payment link, or pay from the client’s balance confirmed with a one-time code sent by email; the visitor is thanked automatically when the money arrives.
* Recognises signed-in clients and their loyalty discount, and you get a Telegram message for every booking made through the chat.
WooCommerce order assistant
* Visitors ask “where is my order?” and get the status after a verification step (order number plus the email or phone on the order); you choose which order fields may be shared and how many failed attempts are allowed before the chat is handed to you.
Sell and answer in any language
* Interpreter for your team – a visitor writes in German, you read and answer in your own language in Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp or any other channel, and the visitor gets your answer in his. A suggested answer and a two-line summary of the chat come with every hand-over.
* Product cards (WooCommerce) – the assistant recommends products from your shop as cards with a picture, the price and an Add to cart button, right inside the chat.
* Nudges – the chat speaks first when the mouse leaves the page, on a long stay on the prices page, or when something waits in the cart, with a personal one-use discount coupon made in WooCommerce.
* What the chat brought – a report of chats, bookings made in the chat, what they are worth and what has been paid, and the average rating.
* Leads to your tools – a signed request to your own web address (Zapier, Make, n8n, a Google Sheets script, your CRM) when a visitor leaves a name or an e-mail, leaves a message while nobody is online, and when a chat ends.
* Let it read the whole site – one click gives the assistant all your public content, and a box lets you ask it a question and see the answer a visitor would get.
Smarter Telegram workflow and visitor insight
* Supergroup mode – every visitor gets a separate topic in your Telegram group; several operators can work in parallel, you reply inside the topic, and the topic closes with the chat.
* Teaser messages – an animated bubble with a typing effect invites visitors to open the chat; random message, delay and “remember that it was closed” are adjustable.
* Geo tracking – the visitor’s country in the chat and a Telegram note (country, IP, page) on each unique daily visit.
* Chat session log – every conversation kept and searchable in the admin.
* Cloudflare Turnstile – an invisible anti-bot check on top of the built-in one.
The features above are not part of this plugin; it never locks or limits what it already does. Baza Booking Calendar itself is free on WordPress.org.
External services
This plugin connects to the following external services. Please review their terms and privacy policies before use.
Telegram Bot API (api.telegram.org)
Used when you set up Telegram as an operator channel (the chat needs at least one channel). Every visitor message and operator reply is then transmitted through Telegram’s servers using the bot token you configure.
* Terms of Service: https://telegram.org/tos
* Privacy Policy: https://telegram.org/privacy
Slack (slack.com), Discord (discord.com) and Microsoft Teams (optional)
Only if you enter that service’s credentials in Baza Live Chat > Channels. Then every chat message (the visitor’s text, the visitor’s country, IP address and page when a chat starts) is sent to the Slack channel, Discord channel or Teams channel you chose, through that service’s official address: https://slack.com/api/chat.postMessage, the Discord webhook URL you created (discord.com/api/webhooks/…) and the Teams workflow webhook URL you created. Answers written in Slack or Teams reach your site through addresses of your own site that are accepted only with that service’s signature (Slack signing secret, Teams security token). Nothing is sent to these services while their fields are empty.
* Slack: https://slack.com/terms-of-service and https://slack.com/trust/privacy/privacy-policy
* Discord: https://discord.com/terms and https://discord.com/privacy
* Microsoft Teams: https://www.microsoft.com/servicesagreement and https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
WhatsApp Cloud API, Facebook Messenger and Instagram (Meta) and Viber (optional)
Only if you enter that service’s credentials in Baza Live Chat > Channels. Chat events (the visitor’s text; the country, IP address and page when a chat starts) are then sent to the people of your team that you linked, through the official addresses https://graph.facebook.com (WhatsApp Cloud API, Messenger and Instagram Messaging) and https://chatapi.viber.com. Answers reach your site through addresses of your own site that accept only requests signed by the service (Meta: the app secret; Viber: the bot token). Only the linked people are listened to. Nothing is sent while the fields are empty.
* Meta (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram): https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-terms, https://developers.facebook.com/terms and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
* Viber: https://www.viber.com/en/terms/viber-terms-use/ and https://www.viber.com/en/terms/viber-privacy-policy/
Messenger buttons (WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Signal, LINE, Discord)
Optional. When you enter an account for a messenger in Baza Live Chat > Messengers, the chat window shows a round button that is a plain link to that messenger’s public “write to us” address (wa.me, viber://, m.me, ig.me, t.me, signal.me, line.me or your Discord invite). The plugin sends nothing to these services and loads no script from them: they are contacted only when a visitor clicks a button, and then under the terms of that service.
